Christian Education

Endeavors to nurture the faith of our members by encouraging Christian growth and spiritual maturity. Weekly Sunday School services, mid-week Bible and prayer services, AWANA, annual Vacation Bible School, as well as various workshops, provide learning for all ages.

SERVICE MINISTRIES:   [top]

Welcome Team

A smiling face, a warm handshake, and a friendly greeting make people feel welcome and provide a quick information reference for first time guests.

Hospitality Team

Provides a service ministry that welcomes visitors and family members to a repast after an activity or service or in times of bereavement.

Usher Team

Offers a ministry of service to help lead people into readiness for worshipping. Ushers function to serve as greeters, assist in seating the congregation, supplying worship materials, receiving offering and providing information to members and visitors

Pastor's Aide

Provides for the ministerial needs of the pastor. Encourages the pastor, acknowledges special events unique to the pastor and first lady.

MISSIONARY & OUTREACH MINISTRIES:   [top]

Mission & Outreach

Provide foreign and domestic missionary outreach, and reach out with compassion to the sick, needy, and bereaved to bring hope, encouragement, and comfort. We strive to fulfill the command to "bear one another's burdens." We serve the community through our nursing home ministry, our deacon and men's ministries. We also participate in the F.A.I.T.H. Evangelism program -- seeking disciples in our community.

Prison Ministry

Reaches out to Correctional facilities for praise, worship, and sharing of the gospel. We believe lives can be changed by the power of the Living Word.

Rest Home Ministry

Render service at Litchford Road Nursing Home facility every second Tuesday, and also render service at Hillside Nursing home in Wake Forest every second Sunday at 2 p.m.; providing ministry through prayer, songs and preaching of the gospel to give encouragement to residents and staff.

Youth

Focus is on making disciples through weekly Bible studies, quarterly youth forums, retreats, and other programs. Our goal is for children to know and enjoy Christ in the context of ordinary day-to-day living.

Nursery

Provide love and care for infants and toddlers during the morning worship services.

Liturgical Dance

Worship through movement of the sacred dance.

Promise Keepers

A fellowship of Christian men committed to honoring Jesus Christ through prayer, worship and obedience to His Word in the power of the Holy Spirit; committed to building strong marriages and families through love, protection and biblical values; and committed to influencing the world by being obedient to the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) and the Great Commandment (John 13:34-35).

Sister to Sister

Provides a forum for regular fellowship for women of the church that promotes Godly relationships and provides a support network for the women.

Singles' Ministry

Reaches out to singles -- those never married, divorced or widowed to provide fellowship, support, personal enrichment, growth and maturity in Christ.

Couples' Ministry

Serves to show husbands and wives God's plan for relationship in marriage, and helps them understand that when couples grow together in Christ, the family grows spiritually and thus becomes more like Christ.

Senior Ministry

Serves to assist and promote the welfare of the seniors in our church and the surrounding community with weekly prayer and Bible study, and various outings and programs. Senior citizens are a very important part of our congregation.

Young Adult Ministry

Provides a source of encouragement and support for young adults; reaching out to share faith in Christ; encouraging others to worship God with us, as we build His kingdom together.

Health

Demonstrates the love and compassion of Christ by providing holistic care with a desire to improve the overall health status of our community by increasing awareness of health issues.

Prayer

Continually lift up the church, special programs, and intercession for special needs. Leads monthly prayer services.
